Vehicle failed to stop in Hungerford

Thames Valley Police is appealing to the public after a vehicle failed to stop for police officers in Hungerford.

Police officers attempted to stop a vehicle at the skate park on Bulpit Lane, at about 3.40pm yesterday (1/10) after suspicious activity.

The vehicle, a metallic blue Peugeot 206, failed to stop for police and was driven away from the scene.

The Peugeot nearly collided with another car on Inkpen Road, Hungerford, as it travelled towards the A338 towards Wiltshire.

Investigating officer, Sergeant Alan Hawkett said: “I am specifically appealing to the driver or any occupants of the vehicle that was nearly hit by the Peugeot on Inkpen Road, Hungerford, at about 3.40pm yesterday.

“If anyone else has any information about the incident then I would also appeal to them to come forward by calling 101 or emailing
