Woman sentenced for theft offences in Chesham

Following a Thames Valley Police investigation, a woman has been sentenced at Wycombe Magistrates’ Court last Friday, following incidents of theft at a Chesham supermarket.

The 36-year-old woman pleaded guilty to three counts of theft. They were in connection with incidents at Waitrose, in The Backs, Chesham, where bottles of alcohol had been stolen between Saturday 27 April and Monday 24 June this year.

She was sentenced to a community order and ordered to pay compensation of £231.48.
Investigating officer, Detective Sergeant Daniel McKenzie, of based at Amersham police station, said: “Theft is not acceptable and Thames Valley Police will always work hard with local business to prevent such incidents from occurring within our communities.”
