INFORMATION FOR BUCKLEBURY RESIDENTS

Alert message sent 12/12/2020 14:41:00

Information sent on behalf of Neighbourhood Watch

This is a message on behalf of Graham Pask, WBC Councillor for Bucklebury to Neighbourhood Watch Coordinators, Deputies and Residents on the NHW database

Sadly, there has been an increase in the illegal use of 4x4 vehicles and off-road motorbikes on the common over the last few weekends.  I wrote a long article in “The Oaks” in February detailing what we have all been doing and what action residents should take if they see any incidents occurring.  The article is available on Bucklebury Parish Council website www.buckleburyparish.org  and can be found under Publications and then click on The Oaks. The article is in the February 2020 edition and starts on page 6.

Please phone the Police if you see or hear anything happening so that they can be kept up to date with the problems and will respond as soon as they can, subject to their workload at the time.

Please cascade this information down to your contacts, so that as many people as possible are aware of what action to take.  It is too late to resort to social media after they have left the area!!

Contact information from Angela below:

If a crime is happening at the time always phone 999.  101 can be used if non urgent to provide intelligence information or notify after say a burglary has occurred and the offenders are no longer at the scene.

The Thames Valley Police website can be used to report not only Crime, but also Anti-Social Behaviour, as well as to report “Something you’ve seen or heard” (on the ‘Tell us about’ section).  The direct links are below:

Something you've seen or heard | Thames Valley Police

Reports of Crime, ASB or ‘Something you’ve seen or heard’, go straight into the Contact Management teams and will be triaged/directed appropriately at the earliest opportunity.
No emails or calls should go to individual Police Officers due to shift rotas and that information can be lost for a few days if they are not on duty.  Please email the Neighbourhood Policing Team for your area, details below, as by emailing the respective team, whoever is on duty will pick up the emails and take the relevant action.

If your area does not currently have a Neighbourhood Watch scheme and you can help us by covering a few properties in your road, please let me know (Angela) on 01635 40866 or via email to: ajmy5m7@inbox.com  Thanks
