Appeal for witnesses following robbery in Reading

At around 9.40am on Friday (23/7) the victim, a 37-year-old man, was driving down Piggotts Road, Caversham when he was approached by a woman who was asking for directions. Whilst the victim was talking to the woman, two men appeared and stabbed the victim’s hand. They stole his mobile phone and an amount of cash.

The offenders ran off in the direction of Champion Road, then onto Mill Road and are believed to have gone onto Gosbrook Road. 

The first offender is described as a white woman with blonde shoulder length hair, in her mid-twenties and around 5ft 7ins tall. She was wearing dark clothes and a grey top.

The second offender is described as an Asian man in his mid-twenties, around 5ft 8ins tall. He was wearing a face covering which is believed to be a balaclava.

The third offender is described as an Asian man, also in his mid-twenties, around 6ft tall. He was wearing dark blue clothes and a face covering also believed to be a balaclava.

We are appealing for witnesses to this incident, or anyone who may have information about what happened, to please come forward.
